I’ve named my blog after three of life’s most important things – family, friends and food. The occasions when you get all three together are some of the best times you can have.
I’ve been cooking (and experimenting with!) kosher food for as long as I can remember, and I love being able to share some of what I’ve learned here. Becoming a mum refocused my attention on preparing healthy food, as well as making it delicious.
Most of the recipes here are those I cook regularly to serve to my family and friends – food that is quick, easy, nutritious and tasty, providing maximum yumminess for minimal input. You’ll find food for parties, Jewish festivals (yom tovim) and Shabbat (the Jewish sabbath) – plus all the British holidays we celebrate too! We usually eat a meat-free diet, so the recipes are mostly vegetarian, with the occasional fish dish. According to the Jewish dietary laws (kashrut), all the recipes here are milchig (milky) or parev (neither milky nor meaty).
Before I dedicated my life to food, I used to work in media & public relations. If you are a PR or brand and would like to work with me, please get in touch.
I hope you enjoy exploring family-friends-food, and maybe trying a recipe or two. Feel free to comment, or send me a message via the contact page. You can also get my new recipes straight to your inbox by subscribing here.
All the best!
